Romans 9:22-23 “What if
God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with
much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known
the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand
for glory…?”
(I Recommend reading 75-2 first)
Although the above verse is presented as a
question, it is more of a statement that Paul used to teach the early church about
the purpose God has for some people, or as the Potter, the use for His vessels.
Just as God has specifically designed each one of us with a
purpose and a calling, so has He designed the wicked, that He endures with much
patience, with a destruction.
The great destruction is not just used as a punishment; it
is used to reach out to the lost and show His wonderful mercy to those still in
darkness so that they may turn away from their worldliness.
