75 Question 22 and 23 Isn’t God’s grace irresistible and His will absolutely sovereign?

Daniel 4:35  All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”
2 Timothy 1:9  “Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,”

God in His sovereignty has dominion over all things, that includes us, our decisions and actions but He does not micro manage our lives; so then, does He make His chosen elect accept His gift of grace because if someone is chosen by God how can they choose contrary to His will?
Proverbs 1:23 “If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.”
The word “If” is key because it refers to a choice and a choice wipes away any pretenses of grace being forced upon us or us being ‘programmed’ into having a relationship with God.
The most important part of our lives is a choice, and as Joshua said “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and you offspring may live.”
