75 Question 28

Back to the previous theme in Question 27, recognizing people by their fruit, would you know a false prophet proclaiming many things in the name of Jesus if you saw/hear one?
Matthew 7:15-20 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.  You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?  So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.  A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.”
Do not think that it will not happen, as Christians we are salt and light through Jesus Christ to the world, but Satan hates that, he hates us because we have not fallen for his lies about worldly joy so he tries to deceive us with false Christian leaders.
Look for actions beyond the physical labors that cannot be seen at first glance such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control; these fruits will grow from good plants and with them you will recognize the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Matthew 5:13-14 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Matthew 7:22-23  “On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”

Galatians 5:22-23  “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:19-21  “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
